The Beverley deposit is in an area over which Aboriginal groups representing the Adnyamathanha and Kuyani people have lodged Native Title claims.

The process of determining the existence of Native Title is being undertaken under Federal and State Government legislation.  But in the meantime, Heathgate Resources has reached mining agreements and maintains a continuing dialogue with both the Kuyani and Adnyamathanha people over issues of importance to them.  This ensures the protection of cultural sites that are important to the Aboriginal groups, who also benefit through:

*  employment opportunities;
*  training;
*  royalties; and
*  other community payments.
